We needed a waiver and several other lawyers told us it was impossible. Thank God we found Raed and trusted him! He took us through the entire process and now my family is back together at last. My husband's case was a difficult one, he was detained had two felonies and several other issues one his record. We met with several different lawyers that told us there was no way possible that the judge would let him remain here in the US. We met with Mr. Gonzales three days before my husband's first hearing we hired him that day and Mr. White was at the hearing that Tuesday. Mr Gonzales explained how he was going to beat this case even though it was going to be very difficult. He brought so much comfort knowing that it was possible. There was no beating around the the bush he was straight to the point. He said it will take about 4 months to get him home and it took exactly 4 months. He's home now!! Mr. Afanassiev "fixed" my sister's and mine immigration status. First time I met him I was desperate! My sister had been deported and I can give you a list of attorneys in Houston that just took my money and messed even more the situation. Mr. Afanassiev came with a solution that any other attorney had told me before. My sister's situation was reverted and she was able to recover her visa. He has been a blessing to me and my family. He assisted my sister back in 2006. He then assisted me in 2008 with my case. My case was more complicated but he worked hard and we were able to get my residency card. Finally in 2012 I became a U.S. citizen thanks to him!! That same year he also helped my parents...he pushed the paperwork through and they are now permanent residents. We couldn't have done it without him and the support of his staff. I believe he truly understands immigrants because he is one himself. Being a Russian native working and permanently living here gives him a better insight to all the struggles we (immigrants) go through. My and I have gone through other lawyers and all of them made promises and all of them fail. I am grateful we found him through another family friend :)

First of all, I didn't hire him. I was in detention center when I saw him first time. I came out from detention with out paying any bond. I got married to USC and got over with interview and received EAD recently. now waiting for my GC approval. I seen many times in court house that every attorneys and judge respect him. several attorney came to him to solve the problem inside the court house. Immigration law is complex and changing rapidly, and our case was very complex, however Raed approached it in everyway possible. Our case/story was in the local press and T.V. all thanks to Raed. Our case stalled and ICE (immigration) would not budge even after Raed filed multiple petitions however Raed never gave up and through his hard work and support we got the news yesterday that immigrations has closed our case and they are not seeking deportation. Mr. Gonzalez is highly recommended. He is very efficient, super helpful and he is a fighter. Mr. Gonzalez was very sincere and straight forward concerning our options, and he told us exactly what to expect. He went beyond and did everything to find a solution for having my father released from detention when he was not eligible for bond. He spoke to deportation officers, supervisors and government attorneys and filed a parole. Mr. Gonzalez and his team replied promptly to all questions and concerns. Our attorney told us there was nothing to do for our father because he had plead guilty to a criminal offense many many years ago and now was considered an aggrvated felony. We consulted with three more and got the same advice. After my father was deported, someone mentioned me Mr. Gonzalez. Skeptical, I went for a consult. Mr. Gonzalez figured out that the offense was not in fact an aggravatedf felony and the previous attorney had made a mistake. Mr. Gonzalez cancelled the deportation, reopened the case and made my dad a legal permanent resident all over again filing a pardon. It pays to hire someone with knowledge. If he can help you he will tell you. If he cant, he will tell you as well. We still recommend clients to him. No dissapointments yet.

Hired their services since 2018 for a sum of $10,000. Spend time hoping around courts room with different incompetent attorneys/legal assistants whom each time knew nothing about my case, then Covid hit...During Covid I had numerous rescheduled courts and got to the point of defeat. Stopped talking to these people who couldn't give me any answers as to why my courts kept getting rescheduled. I decided to stop my monthly payments and withing a few months they had singled handedly cancel any future courts due to my "delayed in payments" mind you I had already paid 75% of their representation fees. The accounting department completely blocked me from talking with a lawyer until I paid the reminder 25% which I did. 2025 Long story short I am still trying to get some anwers So, NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES. There are numerous good immigration attorneys who can provide good affordable and prompt results in the Houston area.

Todo estaba de maravilla Yo recomendé muchas personas, todos satisfechos Hasta que Raed González decidió enojarse por que yo les dije sus verdades y no contento con eso me amenazó con reportarme, imagínese que la persona que los ha defendido los amenace de reportarlos ? Cómo se sentirían ustedes especialmente con la actual administración que en su propio abogado los amenace de que los reportará por decirles sus verdades ? Tengo una mora con ellos y precisamente porque no tomaron mi caso con seriedad Y ese es el problema por una mora de $2,000 y algo dólares. I am writing to express serious concern regarding Raed Gonzales threats to report me to what I think and it points at is immigration authorities. I believe these actions are retaliatory and stem from my decision to speak up about the mishandling of my case. As an immigration attorney, your professional duty is to protect and advocate for the rights of undocumented individuals—not to intimidate them.

I hired this attorney about 2 years ago and since the beginning we got assigned to 3 or 4 times and so many mistakes, and one day we go to the office and we ask him what was happening since we didn't know anything about our case and during the conversation he yelled at me saying he could talk however he wanted to me and he broke our contract and threw all our paperwork towards me and my son . I would NEVER recommended him and his associates. It's a waste of time and money!!!

I went about 3 weeks and he made no sense and the way his staff is dressed is really unprofessional. I tried to communicate with him after our initial interview because I forgot to explain some other things and i was not able to reach him after many messages I decided to just go back but after waiting outside for more than 3 hours then was informed he was in lunch and would not be back. I do not recommend if your time is valuable just go to another attorney.

Hello, To person whomever is reading this, I would like to share my story with you, Alexandre I. Afanassiev is a worst immigration lawyer a immigrant can retain. I retained Mr. Alexandre I Afanassiev for appeal services while I was fighting deportation if I were ever to be detained for him to file an appeal and he had written something else in the contract. like many I did not have all the time in the world becasue I was fighting deportation but this lawyer had dont absolutely nothing for 10 full entire months where he just decides to prepare some doucment for me to go file with ICE where he as a professional lawyer knew that I would get arrested and be put on a plane back to Canada. I repeat Alexandre I Afanassiev knew that his client would get arrested but still he had prepared something at the last minute where he did not have to but just he did becasue some services could occur and he could get paid but he never advised me that I would get arrested to file the document that he had prepared. As any lawyer Alexandre I Afanassiev should have protected his client. But just for money Alexandre I Afanassiev decides to prepare a document which was not nessessary to prepare anything at the last minute. I want to world to read my story which resulted of me being deported from USA the country I loved and losing 20 years of what I had build.
