Yasmen Iqbal, J.D. Associate, Litigation
Yasmen Iqbal is a native Houstonian. As a first generation American, and the child of immigrant parents, Yasmen has a strong passion for serving clients in the most diverse city in the United States.
Yasmen finished her undergrad at the University of Houston. While pursuing her Bachelor’s degree she was also enrolled in the Honors College. She competed at several debate tournaments across the United States for the University of Houston Debate team and won several competitions. Yasmen also interned with political candidates and campaign strategists during her undergrad career. She began law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston, and completed her final year and graduated after attending the New England School of Law in Boston as a visitor student.
Yasmen has been licensed to practice in the State of Texas since 2019. While in law school, Yasmen presented cases before Massachusetts state courts as a student attorney. Prior to joining the firm’s Litigation Department, Yasmen represented hundreds of clients in bond and removal proceedings.
Yasmen has litigation experience in civil and family law, and broad experience before USCIS and cases before the immigration courts (Executive Office for Immigration Review) and as well as the board of immigration appeals.
Yasmen is fluent in Urdu and proficient in Kutchi and Arabic.
