John Stanford was born in Brooklyn. As the son of Italian immigrants, he has always known the value of hard work. From a young age, Angelo took an interest in the law and helping others. He attended SUNY Binghamton where he enrolled in the Philosophy, Politics, and Law program. After graduating, he went to Cornell Law School where he was a member of the International Law Review. Upon graduating in 1989, Mr. Stanford worked for a series of local law firms before eventually founding his own firm in 1995.
Mr. Stanford is dedicated to helping those in need. As a member of the Brooklyn Volunteer Lawyers Project, he provides legal services to low-income Brooklyn residents. In his practice at Stanford Law, he focuses on personal injury cases. He has helped countless victims of auto accidents and work accidents get the justice they deserve and the compensation they need. Mr. Stanford strives to treat each client with dignity and compassion. He demands the same level of care from each attorney at his firm.
John Stanford is active in the New York Bar Association section on Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Tort Trial and Insurance Practice section. In 2013 he gave a lecture to this group about the effects of New York’s scaffold law on construction insurance policies. Mr. Stanford enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Holly, and his dogs. He is an avid photographer and a die-hard Mets fan.
