Paolo Nangcas, Attorney
Attorney Paolo Nangcas is a member of Gonzalez Olivieri LLC’s Appellate and Litigation Team members. As such, attorney Nangcas postulates handles a wide range of immigration issues which he postulates before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Throughout law school, Attorney Nangcas always had an interest in immigration and human rights. As a Student Attorney at the St. Mary’s Immigration and Human Rights Clinic he represented clients on a variety of immigration matters such as I-130 Petitions for Alien Relatives, I-485 Adjustment of Status petitions and drafted briefs of denial clients’ petitions for asylum.
Attorney Nangcas dedication to excellence and service extended beyond the United States as he volunteered with Project Amal ou Salam in the Republic of Turkey providing humanitarian aid to displaced Syrian refugees. Attorney Nangcas also participated in a study abroad program in Beijing, China where he also interned with a local civil rights organization analyzing the efficacy of China’s environmental laws. Paolo’s interest in immigration and human rights pushed him to pursue the joint JD/MA program in International Relations with a concentration in Security Policy.
Attorney Nangcas, originally from Candelaria, Quzon, Philippines received his bachelor’s degree in Government and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Later on, he graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He understands, first hand, the winding road that immigrants face when immigrating to the United States and as such strives to provide superior immigration legal services.
